The Medical Bureau was formed in 1937 by a group of local physicians who perceived a need in the community for an agency to lend patients monies in the form of no-interest loans to obtain needed medical services. Our non-profit agency expanded to include dentists, optometrists, plastic surgeons, podiatrists…indeed all health professionals, to provide financial assistance to their patients and continues today controlled and owned exclusively by members of these societies serving Western Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.

The Medical Bureau of Pittsburgh provides Never Any Interest Loans to the community that are used to pay our members for their services. This is a simple process where the patient schedules affordable monthly payments with the Medical Bureau, and our members' practice receives payment from us for services rendered. Continuously running at a success rate higher than the Nation’s average, our collection department is certain to work hard for you.
